James Cameron Plans to Make and Film a Journey into Space

TOKYO - Movie maker James Cameron, whose last epic journey, into the depths of the ocean, resulted in the creation of the film Titanic, which sold more tickets than any other movie in history, is set to embark on another epic journey, this time into the depths of outer space.

Cameron has an understanding with the Russians to accept him as a paying passenger on a flight into outer space and a visit to the international space station. He expects to go within two years.

Working with Sony in Japan on a new type of camera to film his voyage, Cameron plans on sharing the awe of space travel with the rest of the world, presenting it with his personal talent for communication, so that the public sees the grandeur of space in a way never before shown. He said: "It is our goal to do nothing less than revolutionize the way the citizens of planet Earth think about the human exploration of space."
